Cycling to Passo delle Erbe.

Jagged Dolomite peaks in Alta Badia rise above a green meadow and dense pine forest under a bright blue sky.

Cycling history was made on the roads of Alta Badia and the Dolomites. Out of all the most stunning and difficult passes to tackle, one is located away from the rest. Due to the fewer cyclists, it’s “easier” to cycle on during the summer months. Passo delle Erbe starts from San Martino in Badia, at 1,000 m, and reaches 2,000 m altitude.

Three cyclists ride a gravel path through a sunlit meadow in Alta Badia, Dolomites, with wooden fences, rustic huts, and towering jagged peaks. Two cyclists ride along a winding road through a sunlit Alta Badia Dolomites valley, with green meadows, a large tree, and distant mountains.Jagged Dolomites peak above layered ridges, with a dense evergreen forest at the base and a blue sky with wispy clouds.

A memorable bike ride, wending its way among breathtaking forests and summits such as the Sas di Putia. And if you’ve still got some energy left, you can head down to Val di Funes, reach Chiusa, and return via Passo Gardena. What a trip!
