Food Forest, Ciaulunch’s ‘wild’ vegetable garden.

Dolomites landscape in Alta Badia: pine forests on rolling hills, a winding dirt road, and jagged mountain peaks beneath a partly cloudy sky.

After the damage caused by the 2018 Vaia storm in autumn, Alta Badia and Etifor created Wow Nature in 2020. This important reforestation project resulted in the Food Forest in the Masisti forest in Passo Campolongo. It can be visited during the summer, and this incredibly biodiverse area is full of delicious surprises such as blueberries, raspberries, wild strawberries, juniper berries, and elderberries.

Visitors can explore the wild “vegetable” garden to see Mother Nature’s bounty as well as finding out more about the forest’s secrets and local cooking tips by reading the relevant information boards. A truly special place which is well worth a visit.
